So I was gifted this wonderful little smoke and finally decided to light it up. I usually know what I am smoking before I light up. I am familiar with the brand, but its finding the size and name of the stick I am having trouble with. I should have measured the smoke before I lit up, but did not know I would have this much trouble finding which one it is. The closest measurement I can find to this is about 4 1/2 x 42, which is the La Aroma De Cuba Edicion Especial Minuto. This fell right under 4 1/2 (even factoring in the clipped cap), according to my ruler. I would have just assumed that this was a EE Minuto, being thats the smallest size I found so far. Only thing is, I know the new blend EE comes with a second band, and from pics I am finding it also says Edicion Especial in the main band. This smoke had neither. Also no red band on the foot. The cello was nice and yellow so I know it has some age. I apologize for the crappy pics, but if anyone wants to school me a little on this smoke I would appreciate it

Definitely not the EE, the EE band has always said Edicion Especial on it. That to me looks like the old Corona Minor that was 4.5 x 44, pretty sure the size was cut when they went to the new blend and Pepin started making them.

Thanks Craig ! I did not even know about a Corona Minor in the line. I think that's it. I'm not good with ring gauge but the closest smoke I was comparing the RG to was a LAT44. Appreciate the help brother. It was a fine little smoke :)

Love the old LAdC. always had an awesome sweet kernel flavor IMO great, great smokes
This was my first one from the old blend. And sweet and kernel flavor is about right. I'm not good with flavors but when I just read your post, I tasted the cigar again as I read that description :) Agreed, great little smoke !

Yeah, also for reference the EE always has 2 girls on the band and is the only LADC to have that. The original release EE did not have a secondary EE band but it does say Edition Especial on the primary band iirc. This is likely the original LADC prior to it being named the 'new blend'.

Here's a pic of the EE Lancero I am enjoying right now. Confirming that Edition Especial is on the band. Also showing that no secondary EE band is on the earlier releases. A great cigar!!

In the beginning... it was just La Aroma de Cuba. I don't remember them originally having the red band on the foot. Maybe the old blend before Pepin?
