Are these things worth the jack? The tubos run $9-12. I think I can pick up a couple for less than that. Worth it?

These are one of my favorite sticks. They are better than most higher end stuff out there such as the Gurkha Double-X. The platinum tubos are very good, but look for the un-tubed Preferidos #1 (largest size).

This is a good question. I too have wondered if they are worth the cash. They are the one puro dominican I have yet to try. Are along the lines of an Opus or Litto Gomez?

Same here on the price. The local B&M's I've seen them at were around $17.00 each.

I gave my only Preferido, a gold tubo, to my friend the other day when we smoked. He said it was very good and if you buy a box of them you can get 'em for around $10.50 each.

You were quoted an unbelievable price for these - Just yesterday, I saw:

under $10 each is amazing as that represents a Dollar over COST on these sticks - how do you stay in business making one dollar per cigar ?

I know this is an 11 year old thread but worth reviving if you are interested in trying the La Aroura Connecticut Preferido #2. Famous is offering a free 10 pack if you spend over $125. Its a stick id never buy because of the price but more than happy to smoke em for free. I just got mine in the mail a few days ago.

I tried one of these today, it was really smooth and creamy with a little pepper at the end. real nice. They need more time to adjust to my RH. Everything I get from Famous seems to need a month in my humi to settle down and smoke well.
