Just flew in today and this is the first thing I went looking for. You can't miss the location on the Malecon right across from the ferry pier and above Fat Tuesdays and 2 blocks from my house. Well actually you can miss it because they don't have a big LCDH sign hung yet lol. You walk up a set of stairs and then enter cigar nirvana. The main smoking room is comprised of nice modern comfortable leather furniture, wood floors, an all glass 10x10 humidor complete with lockers. Off the main smoking room there is a small bar and towards the ocean is the VIP smoking lounge that has a few huge leather couches, red leather chairs, flat screen, and a great view of the Caribbean ocean and ships coming and going. Oh ya A/C was kicking as were overhead fans and the smoke ventilators.
Stock had the usual suspects. With some of the newer sticks from Cohiba. Kinda a let down considering I have a very well stocked similar sized walk in at home but hey beggars can't be choosers lol. Met one of the GM's named Alex who was knowledgeable and could steer a new Habanos smoker in the right direction. Courteous and an all around pleasant guy to talk to. The other GM named Mike works the AM shift and Alex seemed to think he was more well versed in 'our world'.
Mojitos were great of course and the bar staff , Anna, was ontop of things and very attentive. As was Miguel and the GM who I shot the shit with through most of the Siglo IV that I bought in house. Maybe a cigar locker is in this smokers future. If you buy the HC bottles (for a bit of inflated price) you can store them there and they provide setups free of charge to include mojito fixins ;o) In the long run with the amount of time I plan on spending there this is a good option for me. After all the LCDH is only 2 blocks from my house here muahahhahahahahaa.
Pix, movie clips, and scratch and sniff are soon to come.
