I'm about half way through smoking the "La Dueña", the latest creation from the Garcia family. Has anyone else had the chance to smoke one?

If so, what'd you think?

The petite lance is fantastic. The La Casita was a bit flat. This blend, with the addition of the Nicaraguan filler or binder, is great. This is my favorite so far of the new stuff. Haven't tried the Cuenca y Blanca yet.

The CyB is an awesome cigar. A cigar you don't hear about much that I think is great (since IPCPR) is the Fausto FT114. That size smokes well.

I couldn't agree more. The 114 is an excellent smoke and like you said, flies under the radar. I have to say the La Dueña finishes extremely well. The rich cocoa and spice flavors really linger after every draw.

Personally didnt enjoy them myself. Very one dimensional and had a strong barnyard finish that just wasnt enjoyable to me. But to each their own.

I equated it to a rich chocolate cake, a little taste and I was good. I think that's why I liked the petit beli more ...it wasn't so concentrated

I need to find something to pair it with.

I had the PB and while it had a decent flavor, it was only one flavor. No complexity, no real change throughout the smoke. Left me wanting something else when done (I ended up not buying the Petit Lancero because of it).

I had the pl and the rob. I need to get a hold of the beli. I thought the rob was a bit muddled but I liked the pl so much I followed it with the rob, could've been a mistake.

Glad people are willing to talk about it now. I posted a thread last week asking what people thought about it and basically got the use the search treatment. :(

So I tried the belicoso tonight. IMO, it reminded me of the Flor de Las Antillas, very earthy and smooth throughout to the nub. I noticed no spice to it. I enjoyed it, but nothing really jumped out, other than its construction, consistency and even burn.
I will most likely try the other vitolas. Enjoy yours if you try it!

I had the Belicoso #2 about a month ago at a herf. The shop keep suggested I try it. I was not disappointed. Definately a complex PJ blend with a complexity and spicyness worthy of a DPG. It opened with an earthy and peppery taste that evolved into sweet cocoa. It was smooth and burned very even. Though reluctant at first, I am now a fan.
