I smoked my first one last night at our BOTL Puget Sound Herf and I was pretty impressed. I've always been upfront that I suck at reviews and have a tough time describing individuals flavors, I have to breathe in hard to really smell due to nasal passage issues, yes too much info!?! LOL So sorry... also, I was into talking too much to remember pictures.
But anyway, they are a good full cigar, strength and flavor. If I would've received the cigar blind, I would've thought it could've been part of the Bolivar family as it has similar characteristics, which I liked. Although it reminded me of a Bolivar, it definitely had a unique taste which was good as well. If I had to describe some flavors, I would say it had some Almond, some woody flavor, maybe oak, and it had some deep sweet flavor like a strong graham or maybe molasses. Again, I could be way off base, but that's what I would say... It didn't have any pepper which I was happy about as I'm not a spice fan. Maybe some kind of very faint herbal spice, but I can't put my finger on it.
I think these cigars will do very well with some age. I think the flavors complement each other well and will end up being a creamier version down the road. This doesn't help me as I planned on selling a couple 5ers (as they are pretty spendy), but now it will be tough for me to do.
