La Gloria Cubana question...

I posted this in another forum and figured I'd give it a go here too.

I found a few La Gloria Cubana Serie R Limitada today and was wondering if anyone has tried them and tell me what they thought? They look interesting and I was intrigued by both the price and by how long they have been sitting in the humidor at the store.

I found a few from 2003-2005, and a few that say 2002, but from what I've found online, they didn't make them in 2002. All are 60+ ring guage and 2 of them look to be maduro (I think they were the 2002s)

They were originally ~$28 and have been marked down to ~$18. They person working at the B&M says they've been there for about 3 years and just haven't sold. Are they worth the price?

Never smoked them. They came in a sweet humi towards the last year of the series with a shelf of each years inside. Humi had a glass front on it with the Series R logo and EPC LGC logo frosted on the backdrop. I have a couple of 05 06 just never smoked them.....

For me, no. I've had one years ago and while it was enjoyable other cigars are much better considering the money, at least for my taste's. That said, if you have an interest in vintage cigars and are a fan what Ernesto has previously done it may be worth the cash to satisfy those interests. .02
