I had my first yesterday, courtesy of Shuckins. But they're not listed on Perdomo's website or on any of the online shops and B&M sites that I've tried.

Does anyone know if they have a new name, or WTF is going on?

Perdomo Reserve Champagne Series (Robusto 5x54), According to CigarCyclopedia.com this cigar was initially introduced in 1998 and was initially known as the La Tradicion Cabinet Series Perdomo Reserve. All but the toro size were discontinued in 2008, but this robusto was obtained in a sampler offered by Thompson's Cigar Co.

This just further clarifies what Chuck said.....

"A Decade in the making, the PERDOMO RESERVE 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY cigars are here to celebrate the next generation of Tabacalera Perdomo's award winning and highly acclaimed original La Tradicion Perdomo Reserve line."

This article explains even more, it comes from Tobacconist Magazine, August 2008

The Perdomo Reserve la Tradicion was discontinued, over a year ago I think. The 10th Anniversary Series replaced it, and the only hold-over was the Champagne, which is the same blend. The 10th Maduro is completely different from the la Tradicion maduro, for example (the older one being MUCH better, imvho).

IF you can get your hands on the old ones, the true "la Tradiicion" Maduro or the Cameroon, I'd highly recommend them both. You can find them on CI or Cbid now and then, as CI bought up all of Perdomo's remaining stock of these after they were discontinued. They're both really yummy cigars--the Cameroon being more full-bodied than most Cammies and very creamy, nutty, etc; the maduro being probably the most chocolatey cigar I"ve ever smoked (delish!).

Ssshhhh, not so loud, my la Tradicion maduros get restless when they hear their name called! I want them to keep sleeping for a while. Now that I have my Vinotemp going I need to get some more while I can.
