LCDH Barbados

Has anyone been to the LCDH in Barbados?

I'm going on a 10 day cruise next month and we're stopping at the following Islands:
Antigua, St Lucia, Barbados, St Kitts, St Thomas USVI and Grand Turk.

Per their website, the only island that houses an LCDH is Barbados.
I'm just trying to get an idea of how far away the shop is from where we will be docked (gmaps says 15-20mins but you know how island traffic can be)
...and if it's even worth visiting.

I've never been to barbados, but due to it being off the beaten path (so to speak) you may be
in for a surprise by finding lots of old stock and carribean regionals. (How you're gonna get them
back is another thing! *lol*)

Well I made the trip to the shop and it was awesome!
If anyone plans on going while visiting on a cruise ship, it's about a 15 minute ride from the dock. I recommend walking out of the gated area and getting your own taxi just outside the security zone because they will be about half the price.

The Lounge was a bit small, but very nice and had a full bar.The staff was quite helpful and didn't pressure me at all. I only bought a few singles and a couple 5 packs because the prices are about double what you would expect to pay from an online retailer. I knew that going in and didn't let it stop me. Unfortunately I didn't have time to stick around and smoke one in the lounge, but next time I surely will.

If you like cigars and you're visiting Barbados with some time to spare, I'd highly recommend a visit. It was my first time at an LCDH but I wouldn't hesitate to go again. I think my wife took some pics while I was shopping, I may post them up later when we get settled back in.

I was hardly sore at all.. Haha.
On a serious note though, I just had everything in my 40 ct traveldor and came back through with out any issues. I guess when a cruise ship dumps off a couple thousand people, they don't bother checking luggage.

Curtis, the cruise was awesome! But I'm really looking forward to the next one. 4 day bachelor party trip to Cozumel in August. Evil grin

I love the Caribbean but as you found out...the pricing is double and I take my own with me. There are many places to have a cigar in the islands so go and enjoy it.
