I was talking with Sam and Mike at Casa de Montecristo today, and they told me about a project that they will be releasing shortly to commemorate 9/11. If you haven't noticed, they now are a site sponsor via their web based sales (TopQualityCigars.com). Sam asked if I would post this for them.
One of the local fire chiefs had discussed a charitable idea with them regarding 9/11, and Sam thought it would be a good idea to turn it into an actual cigar. Well, it just so happened that this idea came to life while Jaime Garcia was in town for his Limited Edition release party. Sam pulled Jaime aside, and brought up the idea that he had. This is the result:
The box will actually feature two cigars. In total there are 20 cigars: 9 Habano rosado, 11 Oscuro oscuro. There will be a total of 343 boxes in the limited run, in honor of the 343 firemen that lost their lives on 9/11.
The binder are filler are a secret. The size of the cigar is 5 1/2 x 54.
Two dollars per cigar ($40 per box) will go to the fund for families of the firemen that lost their lives during the tragedy on 9/11.
The cigars should be available at some point next week.
