I got the email this morning. Not sure how I feel about CI exclusive stuff. I think the only one I've ever had impress me is the 5vegas high primings. I don't smoke a lot of cigar international cigars. I think for what their price point is, it's worth looking into.

Saw the e-mail also. I want to be all "Sweet action", but at the same time the exclusive CI stuff has been missing something for me. Will probably hold off until someone does a review.

I had one of the toros yesterday. I would summarize it as a very good stick, if not particularly interesting or unique. It's a solid Pepin stick with classic Pepin flavors. It's got some spice up front, but not overwhelming. It was fairly smooth and creamy held my attention well for the first 2/3rds. There was one point in the middle of stick where a few consecutive draws brought on a distinct sweet-spice (cinnamon/nutmeg) finish that was quite enjoyable, but unfortunately it went away quickly and never came back. My experience was that it faded in the last third, as the flavors became muted and muddled. However, I have that experience fairly regularly, and I often wonder if a have a palate that just lacks endurance somehow. So take that for what it's worth. Overall, I was pleased. To me this is any easy decision to jump on if it pops up in that $3.50 range.

If I had to draw a comparison, the first DPG blend that comes to mind is the Mi Barrio.

I smoke more of Pepin's sticks than I care to admit... When I first saw this I had to give it test drive. My review? Ehh.
"...not particularly interesting or unique" sums it up. I might pick some up on discount, but I'd generally reach for a dozen others in the price range first.

Now, the MF corona was special. MF needs to release that on the regular. Word is that they're all gone... But one can hope...

Sorry to threadjack, but are you smoking too fast? Do you purge? Might impact the final 3rd.

I've got a couple on the way. They sound like they are at least worth a try

I think I typically do a pretty good job of pacing myself. If anything I tend to have problems with letting a cigar go out. What is "purging?" This is the first I've heard of it. Is that just blowing out through the cigar after lighting?

These are pretty good. Nice profile thats on the sweet side, which was not expected. Good construction, well worth the price.

I've been curious about these as well. I'll probably go for a 5er at some point. The cheaper Pepin blends are hit-or-miss for me personally. I'd love to find a cheaper STRONG Pepin stick, along the lines of the Blue Label body-wise.
