Legendario Elixir de Cuba 7 Years vs. Legendario Añejo 9 Years

I love Legendario Elixir de Cuba 7 Years. It makes sense that the Legendario Añejo 9 Years would even be better, but is it?

My wife keeps drinking my Elixir de Cuba, now I wish I never gave her a taste. :cursing:

Oh and what about this Varadero Gran Reserva 15 Years Cuban Rum. Anyone ever had that?

i do like the legendario. i brought a bottle to the beach herf a couple back,,, the girls drank it all!!

The varadero is a regular rum so not nearly as sweet as the elixir is. The Ron Varadero is a a higher end rum from a mid grade distillery. The rankings in Cuba tend to be Havana Club is the most expensive flagship brand, then santiago de Cuba, then the legendario and Ron Varadero. Then Mulata and Caney bringing up the lower end of things. I do quite like the Varadero 15 as it isn't nearly as expensive as the Havana Club. That said I am in not really a fan of rum and only drink it in Havana where most everything else is hard to find

Which Havana Club? I have a bottle of the Havana Club Anejo 7 Year and I much perfer the Legendario Elixir de Cuba 7 Years

I wasn't a huge fan of the HC 7yr, and actually preferred the less expensive Anejo Reserva
