I hope this is the right place to post this topic.

I'm interested in finding out if anyone of the BOTL's on here have been to or smoked a Leon Cigar. The shop has been in the same place in Los Angeles since 1979. Everything is made there in the shop and no other brands or items are sold.

Here's a link to an interesting article on the life Mr. Leon.

The shop is quaint, having just enough room for a display case and a rolling table. I think his daughter runs it now as I believe he passed away a couple of years ago.

The cigars are alright. Not bad. Not great. I don't remember specific flavor profiles so I can't offer any notes on comparisons and what not. Also, the one I had wasn't fresh rolled so I can't speak to that experience either. I do remember the stick being affordable at 5 or 6 bucks for the torpedo.

Sorry I don't have any more information for you. It is worth a visit though.
