I've smoked a box of the Double Ligero Chisel and am now smoking a LFD Ligero Cabinet. I'm struck by the similarity of the base taste, which although delicious, can get to be monotonous.

I'm wondering if any of you have smoked the ligero/double ligero series and how they compare to the Air Bender. Does the Air Bender have a different base taste?

in my opinion, yes the air bender is different.

when i first smoked an airbender i was amazed about how different it was from everything
.... not just different from others LFDs, but everything i was smoking at the time.

I am waiting on my box of LFD Double Ligero 700 Maduros to arrive. I was gifted one of these guess beauties and I smoked it on the golf course. It will be a go to golf course smoke for me now.

Now if my new humi would just get here so I have a place to store them it would be great. I just filled up another ice chest.

The Air Bender is way different than the DL. In my opinion, The DL can actually run it's course if you smoke it every day. It is a fantastic smoke and I only smoke one about every two weeks. When I first had these I smoked them like every other day but then found myself getting sick of the taste. I put them away for a couple months and went back to them but only have one once in a while. Problem solved...excellent stick saved!

I fully agree with this. The Airbender can be nico heavy so make sure you are smoking on a full stomach.

I fell the DL is just a powerhouse, while the airbender is still strong it has much more flavor and complexity to it...just my 2 cents

edit: complexity is a bad word, but i hope you understand what im trying to say

I agree with what everyone else is saying, the DL is great but its very strong and lacks some complexity. The Airbender is staged back and certainly has more flavor, complexity, and definetly some unique nuances. Another LFD id highly recommend trying is the Coronado, in my opinion they are Litto's under the radar masterpiece.

The signature flavor I get is green apple.

Either way - that flavor makes it something I definitely don't want everyday - And I truly love all of Litto's cigars (especially with some age!).

I've found quite a few Air-benders with draw problems, which is disappointing because they are very good tasting, great price point & construction has never been a problem with LFD.

I would agree whole heartedly here, I've had a few DL's and after every sit down with these my palate is just washed out for the day. In contrast, the air bender is lighter, more flavorful and builds its strength at a slower pace although it can still come up and nip you in the ass. If I had to pick one of the two I would have to go with the Air Bender
