I was lucky enough to score a box from CI store in Bethlehem last week. I've never had one but I've heard great things. I've been told that they are best after resting in a humidor for some time. Can anyone provide some input? Thanks!

I just smoked my first one last weekend and had a slight wrapper issue near the cap that became bothersome as it smoked down. I had it in the humi for maybe a month. But the flavor was actually a little more mellow then I thought. Besides the wrapper issue, I enjoyed it thoroughly.

I've been aging another one for over a year, hoping that will be even better!

Thanks Dick Leighton. I've heard to give them a year but I don't know if I can wait. Ha. But I also don't won't to ruin the cigar by smoking it too early.

Tell you what, you send me one monthly, and I'll let you know when they're in prime smoking condition!

Nah, I would probably say give it a few weeks of downtime and they should be good to go. I enjoy them both fresh and with some downtime. Fresh they're a bolder, more powerful smoke, rougher around the edges, but charming in their own way. With a year or two, they're a little less bold, the edges are rounded, and they're more complex. Just depends on what you're going for.

^ this. Give them a month or so to get acclimated then enjoy. If you want to take your time enjoying the box I don't think you'll be kicking yourself in the ass for it down the line.

I dunno... if you got a whole box, I would smoke one soon, and then try another one every three months or so. It will be always enjoyable, and you'll get to experience how age changes the box over the next couple years.
Agree 100%, personally I would let them sit longer than most because I don't care for the upfront flavors of "fresh" Liga Privada, after a couple years I think they are much better....

That being said, everyone has their own opinion on how long to age XXXX cigar, but no one is going to know better than yourself what is best suited for you. There isn't a guide, you can get an idea from others, but some things are more fun to figure out on your own

I was in a hunt to get one of these for a long time and a very generous person gave me one from his box. It's just over two years old and I am really excited to give this a shot. I think this just might be my smoke of the day. :cigar::cool:

That's more like agreeing 75%.

I always say it's best to age your cigar a minimum of 21 years...yep, anything less than 21 years isn't ready in my opinion :cigar:
That's women. You're thinking of women.

I would sell them, they aren't any good and I here the new ones are full of black and mild filler..... No, congrats on finding a box, and I would follow ninjas advice. They are DELIGHTFUL fresh.

Ha! Thanks. And best part of it is they were mis-marked on the shelves. I got the box of 10 for $120.99. I think I'll enjoy one this weekend.
