Although Padrons are some of the tastiest cigars out there, Family Reserves are a favorite, I hate the fact that the draw is so open that its like sucking through a straw.

Granted, they don't seem to suffer any harshness or tunneling from the open draw. I just hate the fact that I can't... Feel the draw.

Or do I just constantly get bad batches?

I'm with you on the open draw. Not a fan but better then plugged lol and love the x000 stores because their draw is generally a little tighter

Dont know. But I read from cigar Afi that manufacturers will use less tobacco on box pressed vs round cigars of the same blend to compensate for the compression. If that if the case, then the Padrons are making a dime out of box pressing.

Although the draw is equally as airy with their 000s series, and those are round. So.
