long term solution

Hello fellow BOTLs I have been a lurker for a while and finally decided to sign up to see if you could lend me a hand. I need to figure out long term storage solutions. My thinking was a humidor that self regulates or one that I can control remotely. I planned to start by making a wineador and then essentially a "tweetidor" finally morphing it into something that I could control via iphone but thats down the line. Right now I would like to figure out what method of humidification be it active or passive. Any insight anyone would like to offer is greatly appreciated!

Coolerdor. Cheap and easy. Works great for me. Use heartfelt 65 beads.

Thats what I was thinking with some sort of active rehydration system that I can control via the internet as I am sometimes gone from my house for more than 9 months at a time
