LOL, yea my mother likes to keep her dogs fat so all of them are over weight LOL. i showed her your response and she laughed her ass off!!
That's a big weiner, brother! Be careful, however, because Doxies can have back issues due to their legnth(shape) and extra weight can be a real problem. I also have a Doxie and she is a "bit" overweight but I'm trying to get it off her. It's just hard not to give them treats.....
yea this one does have a back issue but its from the previous owner. she was a rescue and my mother is an old softy so this one is a little overweight as well, still stupid energetic though!!

Mine is 8 years old and last year slipped on the ice and hurt is back. Couldn't move for 2 weeks. We had to hand feed him because he couldn't move his head. Long story short, Vet wanted to do surgery after steroids didn't work. I said not yet and looked in to alternative methods. Found a great animal chiropractor (yes that's a real thing) and she had him running around like his old crazy self after 2 visits! Now we take him in every 3 months for maintenance. He's still doing great after a year.
