I'm looking to pick up a box of smaller cigars, similar in size and taste to the Trinidad Reyes, just not as expensive. It would be an every day type of smoke, and I'd like to avoid paying $7 /stick. I think $3-5 would be more manageable if available.

the trinidad marca is typically medium in strength and taste, the reyes my favourite trini is more medium in taste and full bodied imo.its tough to get something exactly like the reyes greg, thats in your price range, but one cigar comes to mind, the ramon allones small club coronas, full flavor and med-full strength, the few i've had remind me of a rass.

Although somewhat different in taste, but similiar in strength and about a buck cheaper per smoke ... IMO the SC El Principe and Juan Lopez PCs are good alternatives.

fredneck, thanks. I pm'd you the address.

Also, I think I'm leaning more towards preferring size rather than taste, because it's looking like it will be awfully hard to match both.

Size wise there are some realitivly inexpensive CC but mostly man made. The quintero londres extra is a machine bunched hand finished. They go on sale very inexpensively at about $2.00 a stick. The RyJ Tres Petit is the same size as the Trini and about $5.00 per stick.

Non CC the world opens up. I like the El Rey Del Mundo Cafe AU Lait and Cafe Noir at 4.5 X 35 at JR's for $27 a box of 24.

You'd expect to pay around $4.50-$6 for a quality PC or TPC. I haven't smoked any Trini's so I can't help here. But, The SC El Principe is a great little cigar.

IMHO, Size is as close as you are going to get. Cohibas are, IMHO, very close in taste and can be found in a similiar size, but as has already been said, they aren't really cheaper.
