So today I had a few minutes to myself which is a rare thing, I was looking for something different to enjoy so I pulled this

And it was very disappointed, it was just flat, dull and unimpressive.

Now this cigar had some age and it outside of my everyday smokes, and I wish I had just pulled something different, anyone else have a similar experience

Yeah... Not a favorite of mine either anymore. I had some a few years ago and they were quite good fresh. Last one (last year) was blah.

might have been the smoke, or it could have been you. mindset can drastically affect how we perceive things, up to changing tastes and aromas. have had great cigars that i have MU'd, and mediocre selections that have hit me just right at the time and place.

sorry to hear, though, still a letdown when it happens, especially with something saved.

Speedy I've found that depending on if these are still in the original boxes with less face(air) time makes all the difference on these. THe ones I've had in singles drawers were flat as well. And to your question...... Yes! 2 years ago smoking a OR Opus that had very little in the tank left.......

Man, I remember chasing down Partagas 150's only to smoke them, and
be very disappointed. Sad thing was, I paid a decent price for them too.
The handful of Ramon Allones, I got my hands on, had a great cedar flavor
to them, there were a lot of oils in the cello, but it clearly outperformed the
Partagas 150.

That is a big let down...I think the biggest miss I had on a smoke was a CoRo that was few years old...just didn't do it for me...maybe the next one will...

Tatuaje B-Rex and TAA. Neither really did much for me and I had high hopes for 'em. Oh well. It happens, but there's plenty of cigars around that I do like.

Yes on the B rex, pissed because I paid for a whole box. But through the wonders of trade they turned into some great smokes. What sucks with a box purchase is the insanity that goes one after smoking one after another trying to get that crack that was the 1st stick.

Had a MB 1 about 6 months ago and would agree. In fact, I gifted my last one because of it...

That sucks Speedy. Haven't had issues with the MB1 Churchills I have.

Did have a JG Limited Edition (Maduro one) that disappointed me the other day. First one of those that didn't smoke well for me.

The La Aurora 100 Anos I smoked a couple weeks ago was disappointing, but will try another at some point and give it a second chance.
