First, i don't have any connections to this company or product. Just used it myself along with my wife, sister and her boyfriend.

Its a cleansing/diet product. They have 3 different programs, 9days, 30days and a yearly program.

I'm using the 9 day program, its a little expensive, but worth it IMO.

For the first 2 days you 'Cleanse' :)
- drink a cleansing mix 4 times spread out during the day
- take 2 pills during the day
- eat up to 6 of these tablet/snacks a day.

For the next 5 days they give a you a shake mix
- drink one shake in the morning
- a sensible lunch (400-600 cals)
- 1 shake in the evening
- up to 6 tablet/snacks a day.
- take 2 pills during the day

For the final 2 days you cleanse and repeat the first to steps.

My sisters boyfriend, who isn't a big guy, lost a total of 10lbs in 9 days and has been able to keep it off a month after. My sister who is small to begin with lost weight.

Personally I've lost 7lbs in 6 days and can definitely see a difference. Pants that didn't really fit, now fit.
The shakes are about 300cals, so you are putting food into your body, its not just water weight falling off.

You could probably go out an buy any meal replacement shakes and get similar results, but along with the weight loss, its also a cleansing product. Without going into too much detail, it works. You wouldn't believe what comes out of you.

Again, I have no connections to this product. Just thought i'd pass along something that could help some people out.

I've never needed any of these fad diet programs to lose weight. The simple elimination of refined sugar from my daily intake helped me to lose 26 pounds in 4 months - and I've kept it off for 2 years now.

One other way to quickly lose weight is to eat less - which is how this plan works - and you don't need to spend more money to achieve.

I've never understood the rationaile behind people who think their digestive systems needs special "cleansing". You want your insides clean? Drink a quart of prune juice. Your intestines will be squeeky clean in 24 hrs.

I'm not sure of your physical appearence ted, but before i started i was (28yrs) 211lbs, active, and not in bad shape but could loose some weight. Played sports through college so I wasn't completely out of shape. In HS i was 195 and in excellent shape. I recently went down from 240 to 211 and then hit a stand still.
Couldn't move my weight, worked out and ate correctly. With my new job i was up at 7am and got home anywhere from 8:30-9pm. So didn't really have too much time to work out anymore. As of today i'm 204

Possibly i'm not as deligent as you, possibly no one is, but the results are there. You baiscally lost 1-2lbs per week, which is great for you, but not what i wanted to do. If someone wants to start out a diet and needs a kickstart or is at a standstill, check this product out.

I took off 15 pounds during the summer a year ago just by cutting back on how much I ate during the day. When my gall bladder really started acting up I was not processing food right and didn't have the energy to do much so I jumped up to 240 (from 220) just over last winter. Now I'm hovering around 230 and need to lose about 20-30 again but I have to do it slowly or I look and feel terrible. Problem is my knees can't take much pounding so walking/biking is out completely. But those liquid diets aren't safe according to many doctors because they throw your body chemistry off in a radical way. I learned that the hard way after having acid-reflux surgery in 2000. I had complications and ended up losing 35 pounds in a month, most of that in the first week and a half because I couldn't eat anything at all and couldn't drink anything for a week. IVs were all I could have until my stomach healed. That steered me away from diets altogether.

I wish you guys luck though, losing extra weight is tough!

Many of these liquid diets have their problems. This diet goes for men and women and I promise it works. No white carbs period. no coke, cake, twinkies or your ho ho's. I started replacing two meals a day with protein shakes. Screw the cardio...hit the weights. I eat one solid good carb meal a day. I work out with weights like a freak. The results were in 10 weeks I was 18 pounds lighter (142 yes Im not a big man) but benching 235 four times. I am so mad at myself for getting lazy. :disappoin

All those diets out there are all HOOHAA.......

Study all the food groups, learn about the natural fat fighters in fruits and vegetables and cut back on sugars, and anybody can loose weight........

Just remember you gained the weight eating crap, so just stop eating the crap and the weight wont come on.......

Hell all I eat is carbs. I don't have a high metabolism and never will. I just have an active job combined with working out and running. I love to run now but didn't when I first started. Working out is a disease. I love to hate it but I can't stop it.

Fellas, I understand there are many ways to loose weight. I lost 30lbs recently and have been able to maintain my weight. But like i said earlier I hit a wall.

The reason I like this diet is it's a system. You follow the system, and see results quickly. I like the idea of a system, that when i get off I can maintain.

I played 3 sports since I was 7 all year round, baseball to football to basketball my whole life. Played baseball in college, all year round. Could have played football if i wanted to (i sucked at basketball though). I've been in pretty good shape basically my whole life, until I was ~240 :(. Basically what I'm saying, in a polite way, is please spare me the "all you have to do is work out and eat right" routine. I know this already, i've done it my whole life.

If you read the program, its not a liquid diet.

You drink the liquids for the first 2 days and eat the snacks provided.

Then you replace 2 meals a day with the shakes provided. Thats why this program works, it also recommends foods to eat if you have to fight hunger during the day.

down to 202 as of today. -9lbs in 8 days.

If it works for you then congrats. I hope you reach your goals and are able to maintain your new weight. Some people need some sort of structured program in order to lose pounds. For me the answers were simple - and it didn't cost me any money to follow. In fact, when I eat less it saves me money.

Poni... We met a coupla months ago at Florio's, right, I didn't think you needed to lose any weight, but people tell me that all the time and I always want to lose ten pounds.

This thing sounds PERFECT for me... Which flavor did you do? Natural Berry or Tropical Paradise?

Can I order it from you? When I went to www.isagenix.com it didn't give the option of buying it anywhere, even on the 9-day-program product page.

awww shuckss... :blushlove

I used natural berry with the vanilla shake. The berry drink was 'ok', the shake was actually pretty good. My sister had the chocolate which she liked a lot.

i don't sell the product, i bought it off of the website.

here's the link i used to purchase.

My mom did this stuff for a little over 3 months. It was expensive but she lost ~30 lbs in total. I think it tasted foul. I prefer exercise and cutting out refined sugars from my diet.

Plus, I didn't see quite how expensive it is! I may order it... I have a wedding in a few weeks I'd love to lose weight for...

Do you know of any way of getting a discount? Even 20% or 30% would be a tremendous assistance!!!

I believe you can, this was the vendor my sister used so i just went with them. I think somewhere on the site they let you choose a vendor by location. I'll have to look.
