I just got back from a trip to little havana specifically for a self guided cigar tour. I stopped in at LTC and met Luis Sanchez and tried cigars from all of his lines, both under the LTC label and his private label. Long story short, I ended up hanging out with him and my dad there in his shop over three days. He tells great stories of his family and their struggle from Castro. He also talked about each cigar and how they were blended. As of now, all of his cigars are produced in his factory in Dominican Republic. All of the cigars I smoked as of this post have been out of this world good and I am planning on making them part of my stable in the Tat, Pepin, La Flor, rotation in my Humidor. His cigars have no gimmicks or weird packaging, they just taste F&%ing good. I encourage all of you to go to his website and order a sampler or two.

Thanks for sharing this information. I looked around their site and did not see anywhere to order samplers. Am I missing something?

Luis is a great guy, always quick to respond to email. I like his LTC line. These aren't full power cigars, more medium strength full flavor smokes. Favorites right now are the Chulos and LTC 15th Anniversary Churchill.

I was given a couple of ltc corona's by my brother in law this past weekend to try. I thought this was going to be a boring crappy smoke but holy cow these are some damn fine cigars (buttery, creamy, and a touch of pepper). I will be purchasing a box asap.

Thanks! Always fun to find relatively unknown boutique cigars, especially by recommendation.

Out of the lines available on the website, what are your favs?

So far I have smoked the sabor cubano gran torpedo, jml churchill, reed maduro, jameson maduro, and declaration. So far I have really liked everything except the reed maduro. The JML is Penn Broadleaf :)
