I posted the thread a few days ago trying to find a good 1st real cigar for a friend of mine since he's getting married in a week and a half. He wanted a special, see something around $20, cigar. My brother made a good point... Everyone identifies Cubans as special, even if they know nothing about cigars. I want something that he'll enjoy, not something that will leave him flat on his back.

All that said, are there any good "mild" CCs that I "might be able to get ahold of?" I'm more of a NC guy, as I don't have any supply line. I don't know what I'm allowed to say and not say in here, so PM me or post if you know of something. I'm off to bed, but I'll try to check in first thing in the morning.

Thanks for the help guys.

Most habanos are fairly strong ... even the mildest ones are not something I'd recommend for a "1st real cigar". I'd also question the notion that price is some sort of definitive guideline for quality. Stick with suggestions on the previous thread ... Fuente Hemingway or Don Carlos, Avo, Davidoff, etc. There are all very good cigars made from quality tobacco. Davidoff has some of theirs in tubes which makes a nice gift presentation. Another to consider are the Torano Reserva Selectas. These are a mild-medium strength cigar and come packed in a glass tube. They cost about $7/ea

If you go down to Eighth Street in Miami... you might find some Cubans on the street corner... just kidding.

Fuente, Ashton, Avo or Davidoff would be my suggestion also. Those are can't go wrong sticks.
