Met another cool brother last night

It light of some of the negative press that some brothers have been getting around here (most of it deserved), I thought I would share a positive one with you all. Last night, as a result of a PM or 2, I got the chance to meet up with a new brother on the board TommyGunz. As it turns out, Tom lives about 3 hours north of me, but works on the same base as my wife. He was coming down this weekend, so we decided to meet up. Myself and another brother here, Rick, met him at the B&M. He brought friends, I had a few there and we hung out like we had known each other for years. A great guy for sure, and definitely a +1 for BOTL.

Another great example of BOTL the right way....IMO!

The pleasure was all mine! I am sure many of you have been on the receiving end of Jerome's generosity; I apparently was next on the list, and was gratefully bombed as I came into the B&M by both Jerome and Rick! I have no idea what I did to deserve this, but I felt like a mooch for not bringing something in return, as I was planning on buying a few sticks from the proprietor. I was not even sure I was going to make it with the weather. Needless to say I have some plans brewing for some payback!

I brought my wife and an old friend and his significant other to the store. So, on their behalf and myself, I would like to say that it was great to meet everyone who was there! I hope we can hang out again sometime soon.

Yea, we headed over afterward. Made it in time for dinner; despite the bad reviews I found it to be the great comfort food that the Common Man always delivers. We had some nice flatbred, mussels, and crab cake for appetizers. Then, I had a nice filet Oscar smothered in crab and and broccoli and Bearnaise and some garlic mashed. My wife had the ultimate comfort food...lobster mac and cheese:razz:. By the time we walked out, we realized it was closed for 45 minuets and we were the only ones left enjoying in libations, hahaha...hope they were not mad.

We had a great time, I will be back down later on in the week and will give you guys a ring! Thanks for the tremendous hospitality!
