ivehad 4 of these and enjoyed them all but found them very inconsistent. all were good, but all tasted like different sticks

One thing I talked about at the B&M last night was how much better they are at the end than the first inch or so. Not uncommon in cigars in general, but these are not good initially, then good, then quite good, as opposed to pretty good/better/best.
Someone guessed that they are using short filler at the foot, and the long filler comes in later. No idea if that's true or even possible?
I do believe that the several Caballeros I smoked in the initial shipment from April were better than the one from the box that arrived this week. Have not tried the bigger sizes, since this little guy is quite the asskicker, strength wise.

I bought a bunch from the first shipment and have love everyone I've smoked. However, I have to agree with chef that the flavor profiles have been noticeably different with some of the sticks, but never disappointing. I kind of feel the same way about illusione Rothschildes. I love everyone I smoke, although sometimes I get one that's an absolute cherry bomb and other times I don't pick up on that flavor at all.
