So here's my non cigar review
Today I'm reviewing the Fail Zero BCG and battle trigger. The BCG (bolt carrier group) is coated with EXO Technology aka nickel boron aka the stuff on the inside of mortar tubes. The coating itself is a dry lube, so it operates without wet lube. For my test, I will be shooting 1,000 rounds of X-tac without lubing the rifle. I will be testing the smoothness of the BCG and the dirtiness of it after.
1,000 rounds of X-tac (a M855 clone)
The BCG has a dirty silver look right out of the box. Kind of makes you want to wipe it off the first time you see it, to no avail obviously.
Standard coated bolt with enhanced extractor spring.
Coupled with the coated battle trigger
The rifle shot like a dream! The balance of the rifle is superb. Really glad I did not skimp on the build. The battlecomp and UBR spring to mind.
Any who, after the day at the range, the bolt didn't come out too entirely dirty, I'd credit the BCG with half and the quality of the ammo for the other half. PCM isn't super quality, but it's not Wolf or Tula.
Before I started this build, I have use Fail Zero almost exclusively in my builds. I have all the faith in the world in this brand and technology. Since the release of the brand, many others have come out with the name technology. That being said, I have experience with Fail Zero, so I'm happy to pay for quality and pay I will, since MSRP of these bad boys runs you about $250
