Microsoft Internet Explorer

Once again Microsoft has managed to include a security exploit into it's security updates for Internet Explorer. The updates managed to close eight previous security problems, but sadly introduced another serious one.

I realise that I may seem to be beating a dead horse here, but I would like to encourage people to switch to a third party browser, be it:

Firefox http://www.firefox.com/
Opera http://www.opera.com/download/
Netscape [http://browser.netscape.com/ns8/

I Run MacOSX, But have been using Firefox for some time. I have told many people of it and it seems very good here. I do have IE for my mac here, but I'm told it's about to totaly junk it-self. Microshaft hasn't supported it in some time now.. I'd love to see everyone try Linux on there PC's. (( NOT a big MS Fan here after years of suporting IT ))..

I've been a die-hard Firefox user since it came out, used Mozilla before that. Just recently I started using Opera at work exclusivly so I can compare and I'm quite impressed with the new version. Pages really do load faster which has always been Operas big claim and there are alot of great features included which require extensions with Firefox.

I have been using FF almost exclusively for years. Unfortunately, there are still some sites (intranet at my work comes to mind) that only support IE and check upon page load for a supported browser. Along with the new stricter Web Nanny internet filter biatch, it's a huge PITA! I was thinking about trying IE 7 beta 3 for grins. No beta would be supported here, but I have admin on my computers so may install anyway. I doubt it'll be more leaky than IE 6. Anyone tried IE 7?

I do have IE7 installed on my machine and still use it for a couple websites that arent standards compliant. So far I haven't had any issues; it has tabbed browsing which is cool but besides that they just changed how it looks and added a phishing filter (as far as I can tell). I'm still on Beta 2.

Tabbed browsing is what I really enjoy on firefox Not to mention all the extensions available

Exactly...I was sold on Firefox when I first started using the tabbed browsing.
