Hello I just recently found mold in my humidor. Just lightly on the wrappers. A lot of temperature changes in los angeles weird hu.. I Wiped it off and no spots. But when I went to cut the cigar i saw some white specs inside as well.I grabbed another with no wrapper issues cut it and saw the same thing inside.. I've read a few threads about it but no definitive answer on how to proceed . Assuming that most of my cigars are in the same condition what should I do? I've been keeping them At 65% since I found this problem but the temps do range from 65 -80° here and in my house thank you so much

i dont know what kind of humidor you have, but it sounds like a air circulation/moisture problem. do you go in humi often? if its wrapper only wipe off your fine. if it is on the foot and in the cigars i wouldnt smoke them

Yeah sorry to say it, but once there's mold IN the cigars, I think most would agree to throw them out.

I just got a box of olivas and muwats in there :/ 100 st with one shelve and it's almost full will putting them in a wineador now do anything for me now? Like prevent the mold from spreading? When I cut the cap I can see it but it's not prominent

If you do that you have a great chance if mold spreading to everything. Sorry but toss them. Once mold is in a stick it is done. And if you find mold quarantine from other cigars right away. Have seen full walkins take a hit in less than a month from 1 infected box. Not worth the risk IMO

If it looks like the mold is throughout the cigar, toss it. If the mold is only in the wrapper, wipe it down, quarantine it for a while, keep an eye on it you're fine. You need the wineador if the temperature is getting above 75. However, if the mold is internal, there's nothing you can do to save it. Use the wineador from now on out.

Just a thought, so please no one crucify me.

but if you're snipping the gar somewhere throughout its body, and seeing white, could it be a thicker vein in that leaf that you're seeing? I mean, to randomly snap somewhere in the gar, and then find a bit of mold I would think to be pretty crazy. Personally, I'd cut it right down the middle, and look at the leaves all throughout to make sure you're actually seeing mold.

The only time I've had mold, was when there was very little on the wrapper, and then even less on the foot. I didnt see any further in the cigar, than what was just on the foot.

Again, I may be wrong on this, but its just a thought. I may not be getting the full picture?

Then again, me personally, if I see it on the foot, I toss it.
