BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Good boxes will smoke well. Crap boxes won't. It's not a year-by-year thing, it's a box-by-box thing.
As to the super party, personally I think they're in a class below the others you mentioned, but they're not bad smokes. The others you mentioned are some of my favorites.

I went through multiple boxes of '14 and '15 Monte 4s and they were stellar. Becoma one of my go-tos for a couple years.
Bought a couple boxes of '16s. and have been disappointed. Hopefully it's like Ninja said and is a box thing.

I have a box from '10 and one from '14 and both are smoking well. Monte 4s are one of my favorites....

Were the boxes from 14 and 15 as young when you smoked them as your 16 box was/is?

Yes. Definitely not a "not aged enough" thing. I've actually only smoked out of one '16 box. Hoping the other is better, though it's the same box code.
