My friend has a box of no. 2s and I put the code in on the Habanos website. Came back as a legit code, but it was connected to San Cristobal Muralla. I'm guessing people put legit box codes on fake boxes?

Not sure about lately, but I remember hearing about box codes that were screwed up when you look them up, that came off of legit boxes.

I'm going to get a check on the box code of another box from the same source. Cigars looked well made, but the bands looked weird to me. They were kinda glossy and cheap looking. Maybe that's how they are supposed to be? I know next to nothing about CCs.

Post pics if you can, on a fairly recent Monte band the white lettering should be slightly raised above the brown part of the band. I've never found them cheap looking, but they also aren't the most extravagant of all bands.

A box of Cohibas from the same "source" also had a legit code on it...for a San Cristobal cigar. I guess the good thing is these fakes are apparently good cigars. Guess you really have to be careful with these things.
