I traded for these since did not want to invest in a box and schukins offered them. i was looking forward for the rain to stop so i could take my dog for a walk and enjoy. The bands look great and my mouth began to water

as i lit the cigar the draw was a little too tight but i thought that it would open up and my walk began.

when i got to this point the draw did not improve and the flavor was VERY mild. I began second guessing my selection for the walk. The draw never really improved and the flavor did not either.

The cigar looked quite good and burned quite well and as the walk ended this pic was near the end. I will let these sit a little longer and am looking for some other comments about this cigar but i was looking for more.

I had a feeling like most Montecristo's that I have had, the "open" was going to be very mild. I did want to "drink the kool-aid" so to speak being that I love CC's so much, however with my last experience with Montecristo, I said I was done with the brand. I did not have a bad experience, their cigars do not have the flavor I am looking for. I hope by letting them sit for a couple of years the flavor matures and the nuiances are released. Good luck bro and enjoy!

In my opinion and experience often with Cubans if the draw is really tight, the flavour will not be there. Regatta is mild'n'smooth and if you like the strong kind these are not for you. But for people who like milder cigars and/or don't smoke often, these are pretty beautiful. Monte's have never been the most exciting cigars flavourwise, but they are solid and usually deliver for what they are.

Quality control in Cubans is not great, not even really good. But it's getting better from what it was some 5 years ago.

If you do a search on the cigar you will find that most of the reviews have not been very positive....seems more hype and a high price....at least what I have read about them.

I've smoked two of them and both had a good draw. Most casual and newbie smokers I know have liked them, but seasoned ones have passed them as nothing-special-nothing-to-see-here-cigars.
