I use a Macanudo Vintage 2000 box for a humidor for about 6 months. It hase the quadrant hinges and a seal the passes the dollar bill test. I had to add water to my beads alot more often than normal. Then recently the ambient rh in the house dropped and I was having to add water once a week. The box is perfect for my churchhill length singles, so i just put the whole thing in my fridgeador. I think you'll notice your box does not have the extra lip that helps provide the seal in a normal humi. This allows for more rapid air transfer. It might be really good for a dry box, but i became scared mine would get dry. Test it with some dog rockets or with some smokes you'll be smoking in the next few days. See where the RH goes and if it will be able to hold steady.
