For space, comfort, vibe and feeling like you're away from the action vs. in a mall, I preferred to spend more time in the Montecristo. But you definitely need to experience both. I'd rather bite the bullet and spend the extra $$ on the Casa Fuente selection vs. what they have at the Montecristo...it's a decent selection but $20 w/tax for a brown label Tat vs. a few bucks more for a Fuente you can only get in Vegas is a no-brainer. I did get hit up once to buy a smoke at Monte before I could grab a seat, but that was only one out of about 4 visits. I can't hold it against them after watching a party of 4 bring their own giant plastic yard glasses into Casa and then proceed to order zero drinks and sit and smoke cigarettes while one of them bought one cigar.....people just don't know how to behave, so I can't blame places for being proactive in Vegas to make their money.
I think the drinks are priced close to the same, Monte has a lot more in the way of bourbon and scotch, but as a non-drinker both places were great...virgin tangerine mojitos at Casa and fresh blackberry fauxjitos at Monte for $6-$7 are killer. Decent snack menu at Monte, and after 5pm while it IS a $30 burger and fries, the Old Homestead burger you can order is just insane.
