So, after having a tonsillectomy last Wednesday, the scabs in my throat are finally starting to come off. They bleed like hell for a few minutes, then stop with some cold water. Well, one side came off around 6:30 tonight, and started bleeding. I got it stopped for a little while, laid down in the chair, and got comfortable. All the while I was feeling more and more queasy. I sat up and blood immediately started filling in my mouth. I went to the bathroom and started leaking blood from my mouth and nose for 10 minutes, like horror movie leaking. At this point it had been over an hour since the scab first came off. So, due to the amount of blood, we called 911 and had a visit from the Anoka County Sheriff and the paramedic. After awhile the bleeding stopped and I coughed up a healthy clot. The doctors at my clinic said as long as it's not bleeding now just to monitor it and go to the ER if it bleeds again.
