My first attempt at Cigar Art

So, I've oft pondered what to do with all the cigar bands I've been keeping. It is the subject of many a smoking session with Brent.

Today, I finally did something. It is my first attempt at cigar art. It was inspired by a trip to our local craft store and I noticed thin canvas on sale. So I snapped a few up and this is the result. I plan to put some kind of shellac on it and then frame it in a shadow box.

I think it looks alright. Learned a lot doing it, and will have to smoke some more before I do another, but I think another is in order.

Lookin' good Wilfred. Was thinking about laying mine out on my ashtray and putting a layer of that poly acrylic over the top eventually. BUT I went to clean it out today and dropped it lol. Well now i have a good excuse to get the one I've been looking at.

Great job! I was planning to do something similar to this as soon as I save enough bands. Already have the supplies, now I just have to smoke more!

Looks great. The ONLY critique I would give is on a piece that size, try not to duplicate any of the bands if possible.

Still looks cool, though.

Yeah, thought of that as I was doing it, but only had a limited number of bands. Although it kinda captures my cigar odyssey thus far!

Looks good. May have enough bands pretty soon to do something like that with. What'd you use for the glue and did you put any kind of sealant over the top?

Actually, there is a RP on the bottom left, but kinda got covered.

And I just used a plain old glue stick. Worked very well. I plan to put something on top, but haven't yet. I'll probably need some assistance from the craft store on what exactly to use.
