I got a Liga Privada No.9 Toro a short while back, and have been waiting on a special occasion to enjoy it. Well it was about 66* today, warmest its been in like 5-6 months. So I decided to sit outside and enjoy my first Liga Privada.

I normally don't go for Toro's but it was pretty nice. Razor sharp burn, easy draw, tons of smoke, great flavor. The wrapper had some cracks in it here and there, but didn't effect the cigar itself.

Unfortunately I couldn't nub it because it went out on me at about 2" left while I was talking to my neighbor.

It was very enjoyable. Looking to trying the t52 now. Anyone know who has the No.9's in stock? Local stores has them at around $12.00-$16.00 each or so which is a bit pricey. SeriousCigars use to have the Robusto's at $8.00 each, but they went up a little bit and they are out of stock of the No.9's but they do have the t52's!

you can find them at some of our supporting vendors, for less than that 12-16 price

I smoked my first liga privada two days ago. A dirty rat. Great burn and draw, but I didn't really care for it other than that. I picked up a flying pig today that I'll probably smoke tomorrow or the next day.

I have enjoyed the #9's but the t52 is one of my favorites. I have smoked most of the box I bought and have not had any issues with the burn or wrapper. The t52 is a bit stronger IMO than the #9. Give Tim (Podman) a call at the Burning leaf, that's where I picked mine up.

Liga #9 is going to be in very tight supply this year due to wrapper leaf issues. They are expecting to release only about 1500 boxes total this year. If you like the #9 and find a box then grab it.

This has been said before in other threads as well on the Liga #9 & T52:
Drybox these a day or two befor you smoke them. This seems to help with the burn issues on these cigars due to the oil in the leaf.

The #9s and T52s are a great smoke, definitely a cigar I don't mind paying the price for. Just thinking about them makes me wish I had one right now...well I know what I'm smoking tonight :glassesgr
