Last year I purchased two Oust fans so I would have a spare so when the time came to add a cooler I would be ready. Well thanks to the generosity of my buddy Going postal on my birthday I now have that new cooler. When I went to grab my spare fan I made a horrible discovery. Someone put the oust fragrance in it and has been using it for some time now.
I have tried putting it outdoors to air it out but the smell won't go away. Anyone have a tip they can give me to try and deodorize the fan or am I out of luck?

Thanks,
Cesar

I worked in a facility that filled and packaged perfume. The perfumes are ethyl alcohol based, so they flush the fillers and hoses with 200 proof ethyl alcohol to eliminate all scent of fragrance. Too bad that I don't think you could immerse an oust fan, and the 200 proof ethyl would cost more than a new fan on amazon. Get the new fan if you can.
