Good luck with this. When Ike hit Houston a couple years ago we were without power for 11 days. It was miserable. I found myself staying at the office 18 hours a day because we had power there.

I feel your pain. one of the hurricanes that came thru here left me without power at home for over a week in the middle of august. The following time it happened I went to home depot and got a generator 3 hours after the storm left. Wasn't going to go thru that again.

We had a big ice storm a few years back that knocked out the power at my apartment for several days. Had to pack up all my critters and move them to the clinic and then to a co-workers. Packed up the GF and stayed at some friends. It sucked, I can't imagine a week. Sorry bro.

I thought at first you were taling about the UK Company but then I realised -

Can't imagine being without power for more than a couple of hours, I hope that you get through it and were insured

I could be mistaken, but I think National Grid actually IS a UK owned company.

Y'all should imagine what would happen if the Koreans launched an EMP attack on the US. Talk about a power outage?!?!

Can you say Hello to the year 1852??
