Nevada Relaxing Smoking Ban

Cigar rights enthusiasts in Nevada can rejoice as the right for bar patrons to smoke with their meal has been reinstituted.

On June 17, Gov. Brian Sandoval signed a measure that permits age-restricting, stand-alone bars, taverns and saloons that allow smoking to also serve food, should they choose to do so. The law took effect immediately.
"As long as they don't allow for those under 21 to enter," wrote Glynn Loope, executive director of the CRA, in a press release. "Small businesses that had been suffering since the passage of the 2006 statewide smoking ban can now begin growing, again."

The news couldn't have come at a better time as Las Vegas prepares to host the 79th annual International Premium Cigar & Pipe Retailers Association trade show from July 17-21.

Definitely a step in the right direction. Sooner or later the politicians will realize they're biting the hand that feeds them.

The people voted to have the smoking bans, and the politicans or a small group of them who most likely got something for this basically over turned what the majority wanted. I see this being put back on the ballot again and voted back into law, or some lawsuits taking place to reverse this.
