Does anyone happen to have any info. on the new 601 Limited Edition (supposedly called "Macho") that is supposed to be available next week? The small blurb I saw said it would be a miniscule run - 364 boxes, 10 sticks per.

Any further details (blend, pricing, size, etc) would be appreciated.

I've been trying to find more info myself...

EO Brands has produced a Limited Edition 601 “Macho,” to accompany a book signing event on the evening of 11 November at Sabor Havana in Doral. The event begins at 6:00 PM and honours the publication of Roberto Martín Pérez’s book “¡25448, No! Roberto Martín Pérez, Sí”

Only 364 boxes (10 cigars in each) have been produced. Each box represents one month, equal to the 364 months that Don Roberto spent in Castro’s prison – as a defiant prisoner! The cigars will be sold in a ‘package’ to include the book. This will be the Spanish version. An English version will be available shortly.
I'd call Sabor Havana and see what they say.

I'm intrigued ... I love all the 601/EO products, so I'd be interested in these, especially at 10/box. Keep us updated!

Hey guys, thought I'd pitch in with an answer. I know what you mean, who needs another LE...:)). The 601 Macho LE is just that, the cigar is def a limited edition..only 325 boxes made. This is not a current or future release, just a small batch we made to commemorate a friend's party in September, don't even know how the word got out.

-regards

Eddie

Big shout out and thank you to ninersfan for putting up a fiver of these for sale! I haven't even seen a picture of them, so when they arrive I'll snap one and post it up on here... along with my impressions when I smoke one after some resting time. I love the 601's I've smoked so far. Great sticks that can be had for dirt cheap on monster.

how did you end up getting these...did u call SH and get the box and the book?

Ryan,

Yes, I called Sabor Havana and ordered them over the phone. I wish I was more technologically savvy as I'd post a pic of the stick and the box but, alas, I am not. I passed on the book because the only current version is in Spanish. Supposedly, an English translation is due out soon and I may pick it up once that is released. I have a genuine interest in this era of history and would like to read Mr. Perez's story.

I really like this smoke. It uses the Habano wrapper (Red band) but the blend is different from the regular production Red label. Very smooth and rich, this is a little more refined to me.

That's great they let you get a box without the book...I was of under the impression you had to buy the book to get a box, like it was a package deal. Did you find out the size or specific vitola of it? Or your best guess?

This stick is a Toro size. I'd put it roughly at 6 x 52 (or 54).

I may be mistaken but I believe this is the first LE offering that 601 has produced. (I don't really consider the Mi Barrio as a true LE, even though it was only released over the course of a year, maybe a little more, and there were four sizes.)

If anyone knows of other LE's from 601, I'd be interested in learning about them.
