Wow, when I went off to school (93) I got a 78 Toyota truck with an old camper shell from roughly the same time period. Shit Brown with orange trim. Times have changed or maybe I was just a bad kid.

Nice car Mike! Your son is very lucky. My first was a trashed 1969 Old Cutlass with 150K that I had to buy myself.

Damn Dad, way to go. I hope he stays a good kid. I will going the cheap ass car route and gift a new one after she graduates college for our daughter.

He was driving a 1994 Toyota pickup with 175,000 miles and was pretty beat up. Then some kids (we think we know who) put sugar in his gas tank. Between that and recent hail damage, it wasn't worth putting the required money into it not to mention potential problems down the road.
I get Ford employee pricing through my company and with the year end incentives, $6,000 of his money, and zero percent interest, it was a no brainer!

Sugar in the gas tank ... man that's pretty nasty. I thought teenagers got drunk and tipped cows in the wilds of eastern CO. Hopefully the perpetrator gets that favor returned to him three-fold.

Better get a locking gas cap just in case ...
