Awesome write up Brother! So true especially this part: that someone enjoyed an escape from the rigors of their day, and were able to get lost in the taste experience of the cigar….that someone could watch the stress and worry of their day waft away in a cloud of blue smoke–what could be more gratifying than that?

Very intrinsic words my friend. When your work is your passion, you create art. otherwise, it's all mechanical and lacks the true depth it takes to create something beautiful. Never is it only the cigar but the story behind it that adds another level to the experience. You ascend the moment I have with your cigar to a higher place when I know your love for the craft is so deeply imbedded in each puff I take. Thank you for that. I have not been a smoker of your work for long. I can say that the blends I have tried along with your stories behind each one, you have my full attention.

Side note: Do you have blends that you tried that didn't make the cut but years later were revisited and found to be a gem? Like a musician's song pulled out from the notebook long ago written, only to find that it was exactly what they wanted to say.

Thanks for 'getting it,' guys....

3/5King - To answer your question...I've had blends that didn't make the cut that I thought were pretty damn good--but once they're passed over, I rarely go back and smoke them. I prefer keeping my focus on quality control (existing brands) and moving forward in developing new blends.

Nice blog, Jon. I really enjoyed the read. I'm a late comer, who only recently discovered your cigars, and I must say that they are quickly becoming one of my favorites. Keep up the good work.
