Great article and very well written Jon! I totally identify with your fedora. On top of the TV in our living room are a few mementos of the wedding and honeymoon in Key West. Every time I look at the martini glasses from our wedding toast I'm taken right back to that day. It really is amazing how these little things can have such a profound emotional affect on people.

I'm grateful that you guys took the time out to read the blog, and even had some favorite 'aspects' of the piece...

For me--in this business--it's all too easy to get caught up in the whole "ratings-accolades-Best-of-lists," etc., and lose sight of what really matters at the end of the day.

Tonight, go home--kiss your wives, and hug your children.....THEN, go have a good smoke and think long and hard about them--and be grateful for your blessings.
