Hello,
I've been lurking over the site for a few days as I've just found it. I'm new to cigar smoking besides what my grandfather would give me every time I would visit, which were the cheapest he could find and always turned me off to cigars. A new neighbor moved in and I went down to meet and greet and he offered a stick, a Romeo y Julieta. This is the first cigar I've had that didn't taste pretty bad, and I really enjoyed it. Previous to this I'd occasionally head out and buy a few cheapy cigars and didn't enjoy them so I've figured out you get what you pay for.
Anyways, after smoking a good cigar, I decided to head back to the local B&M. I bought a handful of cigars which I had a bit of help choosing by a few of the people who were already in their walk in humidor that they said would allow me to decide what kinds I'd like. I was a bit hesitant since each of them were $4-8 each and I walked out with a handful, a new humidor, and other various things. So far, I'm hooked. Every night I've gone out in my gazebo and had a nice smoke while just relaxing to some nice music.
So far it seems I enjoy the milder smokes, I love the Romeo y Julieta Habana Reserve's and also enjoyed the Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva they recommended, though I'm not sure if this would be considered mild or not. It may be frowned upon, but a random cigar I picked up, a Kahlua Turbo, was also nice, mainly because I missed the flavor of Kahlua since I can't drink any longer and black russians were my favorite.
Besides that, there's not much else to say about myself except that I hope to stick around for the long term and learn a lot from the more experienced people here, which I've already started doing in the humidor section.
An aside, if you all wouldn't mind throwing in a recommendation along the lines of the Romeo y Julieta Habana Reserve's, I'd appreciate some input.
