New to botl.org, sorta new to cigars and cigar community. Been around for about 6 months or so. Active on one other cigar forum, and many other special interest message boards.
Name's Dan, I'm from Northwest Indiana about 45 min southeast of Chicago.
I don't get too caught up in HTF/LR cigars or the collection aspect, but I am still learning and trying so I can't really say what cigars are my go-to. Though, I do have a few that have been repeat buys.
One thing I do stick to is unless it's something I've had a couple times and really really liked, I don't/won't spend more than $5/stick to try. After a few years of sporadic purchases at my local B&M, spending between $12-18/stick for cigars I can routinely find for $3-8/stick online, I learned that price doesn't mean a thing. I enjoy trading, though usually I send booze/beers since I don't have many cigars that wow others. Cigars for noob trades, beers for vet trades.
I brew beer, I drive crappy cars (and sometimes race them)
I came here on a mention by someone, figured I'd see how this place works.
