Hello all, I am James. I have been Smoking Pipes and Cigars now for just under 25 years and if you look at the first time I smoked a PIPE or CIGAR then it was 32 years ago...
Well I live in North Central Oregon. 15min from Washington.
I have a little Pipe collection that grows from time to time.
I smoke anywhere from 1 cigar to 3 a day on most days. However lately is 1 in the day and around 8 to 10 bowls of Tobacco. I got married for the second time 12-12-12 to a woman that also likes most of my Hobbies. Cigars and pipe smoking she enjoys. RC Trucks, Cars, Heli, and Planes she likes to drive fast cars and trucks with me while smoking a pipe or cigars.
I started smoking as a Hobby Cigars first. A few years later I started with a Pipe. I bought 3 pipes back then. Cob, Dr. Grabow and a Spendy Meerschaum. Sadly I am missing my first Meerschaum. this was one of a kind. I have seen pipes that look like it but don't have some of the same traits. Anyway I love smoking pipes and have a few. out of the ones I have, there are 26 Dr Grabows. Not everyone likes them but then I don't Smoke Pipes for them I smoke them for me.
When i start my day. I most times smoke a Cigar in the AM while I am looking over some pipes and trying to figure out what I will smoke for the day. Then i load some pipes of tobacco and get them set out to dry some so when i smoke them they are dried out. I am not a Tobacco Snob I don't store Tobacco. i buy to smoke. I buy OTC and blends I like. I right now like loads of Hearth & Home brands. I like Orlik Golden Slice. Some Mac Baren. Loads of Lane LTD blends some even are OTC. I run pipe cleaners in my pipe while smoking, I clean my pipe after every use. I don't have many pipes with very much Cake in them. I also will smoke a Pipe all day if I so feel like doing so. I tend to smoke to fast/hot while i am working on things like doing my RC Maintenance or mowing the grass.
My first Cigar was a Oliveros, It was around a 5x55 and fell in love. At the time I was living in the Seattle area and got them from a B&M that was kind of Hidden.
