Hello everyone, Just a short 'hello' to introduce myself. I am 65 years young and have been smoking pipes for a number of years now. I smoke a few cigars with my son now and then and I finally took the plunge in a larger way. I live in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada.
Since I like dark Latakia blends for my pipe, I'm finding that I'm really drawn to Maduro cigars. Haven't smoked a whole number of cigars yet but I just placed an order with Famous Cigars for an 8 sampler of the best of Padron cigar sampler. And I also started a log book (journal) of each cigar similar to what I did when I started smoking pipes years ago to help me sort out what my palette likes and doesn't like.
Anyway, I look forward to the new journey!

fisherclive, I grew up in Windsor.
icehog3, actually since I grew up in Windsor, Ontario I've been a Wings fan all down through the years. I remember sitting around the TV watching hockey back when there were only 6 NHL teams while my dad and uncle smoked cigars and filled the house with clouds of smoke. I can't give up on them now, even though the chance of them winning the SC before I go tulips under is highly unlikely.
