Hello to all..

New to BOTL... I live in Weston, FL and have been enjoying cigars for about 2years now. I have enjoyed reading the forums and decided to join in. I dont have any favorite sticks now, but I am sampling many brands to develop some favorites. Any suggestions???

smoke any cigar at least once, and don't buy boxes until you have clear favorites. o)

seriously, welcome from the bluegrass state, and this place should be a huge help if you are just starting out. welcome on board!

Welcome from Tennessee, glad you made it. Smoke as many different sticks as you can and then go after what you like.

:welcome: from Minnesota!!

It's great to have you here!!! :waving:

The best advice that I can give is to try as many different sticks as your budget can afford. Eventually you will find what is right for you. There is not necessarily any good or bad choice. It all depends on what you like!

Also you will want to be aware of what is often referred to as the "slippery slope". It is very easy to get carried away and end up with more cigars than you have storage for. If...no make that WHEN that happens, be sure to read some of the great threads on how to set up a coolerador. That will be your best and least expensive option for long term and bulk storage.

Welcome, from Chicago!

Follow your tastes (mild, medium, or full bodied). Do your research and further refine your tastes according to country of origin (wrapper, filler) and vitola (size, shape). Most of all, have fun!

Thanks for all of the welcome messages. I appreciate the hospitality and have been reading alot of the posts to gain knowledge.

Hey OB-Left, I read your Edgstar build and I am now very curious about building one myself. Any tips not included in your build post???

Thanks

if you are going to try a cigar, try it at least 3 times before you make a determination as to whether or not you enjoy it.

I have caught myself trying a cigar, hating it - then having it grow on me as I have a few more. Liga Undercrown was a good example for me.
