Thought I'd share some phots of the flint lock rifle that I've been working on for the past year. Its about 95% complete with only the final sanding and finishing work to be done.

Its a 54. caliber Getz tapered barrel with a Chambers delux flint lock. I started with a blank stock with just the barrel channel cut and ramrod hole drilled. I'm building this one for someone else, he plans to hunt with it.

That is cool. I know there is a hunting club around here that only hunts with those things. They like to dress up like frontiersmen and do it old school. That is not for me, I prefer new technology. Nonetheless, I respect the craftsmanship and I am eager to see your finished product. Keep up the good work!

it is fun, I used to shoot a t/c myself. I love it when all that smoke bellows out and you have to wait a second for it to clear before you can see if it hit where you were aiming.

Cap and ball is very neat love it. My dad has a few, and just about one of everything else. He is kind of out there but love the old guy.
