Thought I'd share some phots of the flint lock rifle that I've been working on for the past year. Its about 95% complete with only the final sanding and finishing work to be done.

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
That is cool. I know there is a hunting club around here that only hunts with those things. They like to dress up like frontiersmen and do it old school. That is not for me, I prefer new technology. Nonetheless, I respect the craftsmanship and I am eager to see your finished product. Keep up the good work! Its a 54. caliber Getz tapered barrel with a Chambers delux flint lock. I started with a blank stock with just the barrel channel cut and ramrod hole drilled. I'm building this one for someone else, he plans to hunt with it.
