Tried a new source and wanted to get peoples input into the validity of their products. Comments are welcome as I don't have a comparison to use. Pictures include box top, box back for data codes, insert, and cigars bundles and up close. It does have the warrenty card inside as well but I didn't take a picture.

This is from a top rated internet supplier.

PIcks were taken with my iPhone and resized so some of the graininess is from the picture quality and not the bands

I'm not the best at spotting fakes. But that box dosen't look quite right to me? The Bolivar design looks different and the Habanos and seal seem to be in the wrong places that I'm used to seeing.

I'm sure others will chime in soon.

Great site - but it lacks the 2012 box. So while I agree the box looks a little off and seals are on wrong sides. I was not sure if this was a 2012 change.

My way to tell is if the bands have raised impressions. Raised impressions that you can feel with your finger is a good sign in my opinion. It's tough for the fake artists to get access to a press printer as opposed to just making good "copies" that don't have the raised lettering and such.

I may be way off on that judgement but I've gotten sticks from other people and usually they didn't have raised bands. all the boxes I "saw" at the LCDH had raised bands.

Also, smoke one. Bolivar is a pretty recognizable flavor.

Smoked one the other day. If they are fake, they are great fakes. They do have raise bands and look real. A few members also confirmed my source. So I think I'm in the clear.

QC in Cuba is crap. They put stamps and stickers upside down or in the wrong places pretty often. Red flags, sure, but not guarantees of fakes. I think the bands are a better judge, but even so, you'll see bands that are legit and totally off, and bands that look perfect on fakes.

The cigars themselves are the only way to know for sure. If you smoke a few and they taste like BBFs, you're good!
