I actually thought about going this route too since I have some of the same boxes for tackle, but wanted something a little bigger than what my local sports/outdoors stores had. The one I just picked up was a 26.5qrt. Really solid idea though.Original pic looks great.
I love bass fishing and have way to many tackle boxes. I use a box from Flambeau for cigars. Comes air and water tight, holds humidity perfectly with a 72 Boveda pack and I line the bottom and sides with the thin cedar pieces from cigar boxes.

Might be good as a traveldor as well for something like that too. You don't necessarily have to get them from a sporting goods store either I don't think.I actually thought about going this route too since I have some of the same boxes for tackle, but wanted something a little bigger than what my local sports/outdoors stores had. For sure. Yeah, you can find stuff like that at most places that would carry fishing gear, I was just looking for something that could hold a box or two along with some singles. I'm definitely going to use one of my smaller tackle boxes for cigars now though. Gonna go dig that out and get that ready for when I can get the boat out on the lakeMight be good as a traveldor as well for something like that too.
